Apple releases Apple Intelligence - AI navigator June

Apple released major AI features in macOS and iOS, calling it Apple Intelligence. Google Search is now optimized with AI-generated answers, and OpenAI has introduced a way to have real-time conversations with AI.

This week we also got invited by the Dutch Embassy to join the AI summit in London. We’ve spoken to a lot of big companies, investors and startups who are building or investing in products that offer AI solutions. Google, OpenAI and Microsoft were talking about new advancements in the AI space. And two weeks ago, we held a workshop at a Dutch startup on prototyping with ChatGPT.

Let’s dive into this months topics

🧠 Apple releases Apple Intelligence: AI on an OS level

Apple announces Apple Intelligence (AI), no joke. Despite the ridiculous name, it’s a significant update for users. Apple integrates AI at the operating system level, allowing it to search deeply within your iPhone or Mac. Interestingly, it can also connect with apps, making tasks easier to perform. You can use Siri to ask questions and Apple will use GPT-4o to give you the right information.

🎬 Canva introduces new AI features

Eight months ago, Canva released Magic Studio, a tool for designing with AI. Now, they’re taking it a step further. Besides generating images from text and creating full presentations and posts, Magic Studio introduces Magic Switch, which allows you to transform, for example, a presentation into a website or a brainstorm into a rollout plan. This could potentially save you a lot of time because you only need to create one piece of content that can be converted into different outputs.

🔨 Tool of the month: Airtable AI

Airtable started as a tool to create smart data sheets. You can add automations to all the sheets, and Airtable promotes itself as a no-code platform for apps.

In their latest update, they use generative AI to analyze and organize data more effectively. Helpful for summarizing the most important information, such as when dealing with product feedback.

📽️ Video of the Month: What is an AI anyway by Mustafa Suleyman

Microsoft AI CEO Mustafa Suleyman discusses what we’re actually creating with AI. Even AI developers themselves don’t know where it’s headed.

So, if you want to have a clear understanding of AI and a clear vision for the future, it’s a must-watch.
